Tunkhannock Riverside Park
Looking out on the stunning Endless Mountains, Tunkhannock Riverside Park is situated on the banks of the Susquehanna River. With a children’s playground, a boat launch, and plenty of benches and picnic tables, it’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon enjoying a picnic and simply watching the river pass by.

Bloomsburg Town Park
Located along the Lower North Branch of the Susquehanna River, Bloomsburg Town Park is a lovely green space nestled between the town and the river. The park offers visitors an array of outdoor recreation opportunities with access to ball fields, tennis and basketball courts, a fitness trail, a skatepark, and a disc golf course. With seven picnic pavilions that have access to charcoal grills, it is also a fantastic place for a picnic. For weekend use of the pavilions, reservations are required.

A great place for events, the park offers the option to reserve its pavilions for picnics and reunions, as well as a band shell for outdoor concerts. Pavilion rentals are available from Mid-May until Mid-September.

Milton State Park is uniquely located on an island in the Susquehanna River’s West Branch. For those seeking river views and overlooks, Shikellamy State Park has it covered thanks to its two sections: the Marina and the Overlook. From the Overlook, park goers can enjoy a stunning view of the Susquehanna River confluence, where the West Branch meets the North Branch. From the Marina, there’s no shortage of riverside scenery. Both the Marina and the Overlook have picnic tables and pavilions.
