The primary person registering for the event should be over 18. Children 12 and under may not pilot their own watercraft and must paddle tandem with a guardian. Children under 18 may pilot their own vessel but must be accompanied by a guardian throughout the event.

The Susquehanna Greenway Partnership Release of Liability

CONSENT TO EACH LINE AFTER READING. In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Susquehanna Sojourn Series - 2025, its related events and activities, I, the undersigned, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:
1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular skills, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce the risk, the risk of serious injury does exist.(Required)
2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation.(Required)
3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership immediately.(Required)
4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Susquehanna Greenway Partnership, and/or any agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and leasers of premises used for the activity (“Releasees”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property associated with my presence or participation, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.(Required)
5. I authorize Releasees to provide or obtain for me such medical care as they consider necessary and appropriate, and I agree to pay all costs associated with such care and related transportation.(Required)
6. I hereby give permission for my photo and video to be taken during activities with the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership for said photographs and videos to be used in commercial and non-commercial activity.(Required)
7. PLEASE NOTE: Refunds are available up to one week prior to the date of the event.(Required)
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.(Required)
For Parents/Guardians of Participants of Minor Age (Under age 18 at time of registration) This is to certify that I, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release as provided above of all the Releasees, and, for myself, my child, and our heirs, assigns, and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all liabilities incident to my minor child’s involvement or participation in these programs as provided above, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, to the fullest extent permitted by law.(Required)

Susquehanna Greenway Partnership Informed Consent for Paddling: I have read and understand the risks listed above and how to avoid them and agree to take an active part to protect myself and my fellow participants during the activity. I realize there are other risks and/or dangers that may exist (including injury or death), and I will avoid these also. I will not participate in unsafe practices, and I will inform the staff of any dangers known to me that may cause injury to myself or others.(Required)
