Spring Cleanups

APRIL 13 Cleanup | Milton, Assist SGP cleanup trash around Milton State Park, 10 am –12 noon

APRIL 12 Cleanup | Williamsport, Assist SGP cleanup trash along the River Walk, 10 am –12 noon

PADDLER'S TOOLKIT WORKSHOPS

Morning presentations about flora, fauna, & paddling basics. Lunch. Afternoon paddle. Those who wish to volunteer on water should feel comfortable in a kayak. You will be an extra set of eyes and ears on water. Should any problems arise, you should alert our guide (no rescue experience needed on your part). Instructions will be provided.

JUNE 7 Paddler’s Toolkit | Clearfield

RIVER SOJOURNS

Opportunities to assist on land or on water. Those who wish to volunteer on water should feel comfortable in a kayak. You will be an extra set of eyes and ears on water. Should any problems arise, you should alert our guide (no rescue experience needed on your part). Instructions will be provided.

JUNE 19 West Branch Sojourn | Baker Run to Lock Haven, 16-mile paddle on the Susquehanna River West Branch. Keep in mind, this is a longer paddle and not necessarily recommended for beginners.

AUGUST 16 Lower Section Sojourn | Marietta to Columbia, 6.5-mile paddle on the Susquehanna River in Lancaster County.

SEPTEMBER 24 Middle Section Sojourn | Fort Hunter to City Island, 6.5-mile paddle in the Harrisburg area.

OUTDOOR EXPO

AUGUST 2 Outdoor Expo | Shikellamy Marina, Outdoor recreation festival including 50+ booths, presentations, demos, interactive learning, and more. Help needed with setup, takedown, and activities throughout the day. We ask volunteers for shifts of at least 2 hours or more.
