There’s no denying it—the Susquehanna River is a natural treasure, offering endless possibilities for outdoor adventure. From paddling and hiking to biking and birding, interest in exploring this incredible waterway has surged in recent years. But knowing where to start, what gear to use, or where to go can still feel overwhelming.
That’s where the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership (SGP) steps in. Dedicated to connecting communities to the river and its surrounding landscapes, SGP is helping people access the trails, tools, and knowledge they need to enjoy the Susquehanna Greenway to the fullest.
This summer, that mission takes center stage at the 4th Annual Susquehanna Greenway Outdoor Expo, happening Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Shikellamy State Park Marina—where the North and West branches of the river meet—the Expo brings together outdoor experts, gear vendors, educators, and environmental partners for a one-day celebration of recreation, learning, and connection in the great outdoors.
The event will feature more than 50 vendors from across the state to engage with attendees and offer a full slate of activities, presentations, and demonstrations—all at no cost to the public. It’s a great way to discover new opportunities to engage with the outdoors in the region and beyond!
