Previous Year Cleanup Locations

Communities across the Susquehanna Greenway are celebrating Earth Month, April 2026, with cleanups, plantings, and other activities! SGP is helping to spread the word on these efforts so that volunteers like you can join in on the fun and give back to our communities. We are so excited to help keep our river towns clean and beautiful!

If you have a group or community that would like to join in on the efforts, or if you would like to join an already scheduled cleanup as a volunteer, please fill out the interest form below. Cleanups that participate will receive planning resources and statewide recognition.

Bloomsburg

Wednesday, April 22nd | 12 PM – 4 PM

  • Join us for Earth Day Cleanup #2—happening on Earth Day itself! If you missed the first cleanup or just want to lend another hand, we’d love to have you out with us. We’ll meet at the Rupert Covered Bridge and focus on tidying up the surrounding area. Plans for the day include collecting litter along the road from Rupert toward the former dam site, as well as sending a group down the BART Trail to check around the boat launch. If we have a strong turnout, we may also tackle a few additional nearby areas of concern. This will be a land-based cleanup only—no water entry for this event. With a little help, we’re hoping these efforts will set the stage for getting back out on the water for our May cleanups. Gloves and safety vests will be provided for anyone who needs them—just bring yourself and a willingness to help make a difference! LEARN MORE
