Schedule (tentative)

8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Check-in opens at Milton State Park. This will be a time for participants to check-in, receive their appropriate materials, and provide their lunch orders. Light morning refreshments, restrooms, and informational tables will be accessible to participants.

Note: In accordance with COVID-19 restrictions and best practices, SGP has adjusted our shuttling procedures. We are unable to move personal boats this year. If you are bringing your own boat(s), please drop them off at the put-in at Milton State Park when you check in. Please also drop off any passengers in your car with your boats at Milton. Drivers should then proceed down to Shikellamy State Park Marina. If you are renting boats, drivers should drop off passengers at Milton State Park, check-in, and only the drivers should proceed to Shikellamy. We will then shuttle only the drivers back up to the put-in. This will allow some spacing on the shuttle bus to accommodate COVID-19 precautions.

9:00 AM - 9:15 AM: Shuttle (Drivers only, all others are asked to be dropped off at the luanch site)

9:15 AM - 09:30 AM: Opening Remarks

9:30 - 11:00 AM: Launch from Milton State Park, enjoying the wildlife and ecology of the West Branch along the way. PA Master Naturalists will be pointing out natural features.

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Take-out for lunch at The Fence Drive-In. Information tables will be setup, remarks, and group photo.

12:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Continue paddling to Shikellamy State Park, as the West Branch transitions to Lake Augusta at its confluence with the North Branch.

2:30 PM – 3:00 PM: With help from our volunteers, participants will get off the water and transition back to their vehicles.

~~~After the sojourn, perhaps you would like to head back to the Susquehanna Greenway River Town of Lewisburg to recap the day with new and old friends over a well-earned libation or dinner at one of numerous restaurants and establishments. Lewisburg Downtown Partnership will be providing coupons.
