About the Park

This Pinnacle Overlook Nature Preserve is situated within the Susquehanna Riverlands. Named for the 380-ft high Pinnacle Overlook, it offers panoramic views of Lake Aldred, one of the widest points along the Susquehanna River. The preserve is characterized by rocky outcroppings and hardwood forests, and is a popular destination for photographers.

The preserve features a network of nearly 3-miles of hiking trails, varying from moderate to difficult. Additionally, hikers are able to access Kellys Run, Tucquan Glen, and Pyfer Nature Preserves from the overlook via the Conestoga Trail, which runs 14.3-miles from Holtwood to Pequea.
