Wrightsville: Raging Susquehanna: Furious Rivers & Ice Floods

Wednesday, April 11, 2018 - 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Location: Susquehanna Heritage Zimmerman Center for Heritage John Smith Chesapeake Trail, 1706 Long Level Rd, Wrightsville, PA 17368

Description: Lecture at the Zimmerman Center for Heritage explores the great natural power of the Susquehanna River. It's not all boating and fishing fun on the Susquehanna! Join us to explore the fury of nature on the river. If you thought this winter’s ice on the Susquehanna was something, the ice in 1904 was something else! Join us to learn about this great ice event (as well as others) and view rare photos of the destruction. Paul Nevin is Susquehanna Heritage’s Zimmerman Center Manager. Having made the river his home, Paul has immersed himself in river history and heritage.

Fee: $10 per person and advanced registration is required. See link below.
