Wrightsville: NPS National Junior Ranger Day

Description: JUNIOR GREEN RANGER PROGRAM – 10 AM TO 12:00 NOON

Celebrate Earth Day by participating in the Junior Green Ranger Program. Geared to 9 to-12 year olds, this program focuses on sustainability, reducing your environmental footprint, and how parks conserve energy. Participants will be guided through the program by National Park Service and Susquehanna Heritage staff. Completing the activities earns a Junior Green Ranger patch.

CAPTAIN JOHN SMITH CHESAPEAKE NATIONAL HISTORIC TRAIL JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM- 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM

For ages 6 to 12 years old, you’ll experience a scavenger hunt at the Contact Station, a short hike to the adjacent Native Lands Park to learn about the Susquehannock Indians, and presentation on Susquehanna River wildlife to complete this Junior Ranger book and earn a Captain John Smith Chesapeake Trail Junior Ranger badge. Participants will be guided through the program by National Park Service and Susquehanna Heritage staff.
