Williamsport: Healthy Tributaries for a Healthy River

Description: Hosted by Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association, Inc. and Lycoming College. Join Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper and partners Lycoming College, Lycoming County Conservation District, and Bucknell Center for Sustainability and the Environment for a one-hour, hands-on floating classroom program about water quality in the Susquehanna River watershed. Participants are asked to bring a water sample from their local stream or creek for water testing. You will also learn about the role of the freshwater mussel in filtering local waterways. For families, amateur naturalists, and other explorers. This event is an official Pennsylvania River of the Year program, where we are celebrating the Loyalsock Creek as one of the major tributaries to the Susquehanna River.
