    Q. What happens to my bike?

    • All bikes will be transported by event staff back to the Jersey Shore Recreation Area (where we begin) after lunch for easy pick up at the conclusion of the event.

    • Our bike concierge will be tending to the bikes until the owner picks up their bike at the conclusion of the event.

    Q. What about check-in and shuttles?

    • All participants will need to check-in at the Jersey Shore Recreation Area on Saturday morning. If you are bringing your own boat, you will need to drop it off at the appropriate boat launch (see map on main Sojourn page), and then proceed back to the check-in at the Jersey Shore Recreation Area.

    • Shuttles will be available at the take-out to transport you and your gear back to the Recreation Area at the end of the event.

    Q. What's the address/route?

    • Our starting location is at the Jersey Shore Borough Recreation Area at 401
Thompson Street Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
    • The put-in for the kayaks is located at the Torbert Canoe Launch on Pine Creek. There is not a specific address, but the closest address would be 22 Furnace Run Road Jersey Shore, PA 17740.

    Q. What about lodging?

    • Within Jersey Shore there is the Gamble Farm Inn; located about 0.2 mile from the recreation area.

    • Outside of Jersey Shore there are several hotels in both Williamsport and Lock Haven, which are both about 20 minutes away.

    • A you go up the Pine Creek Valley, there is free camping along the Pine Creek Rail Trail itself at designated areas within the Tiadaghton State Forest. The closest to Jersey Shore will be Bonnell Flats at river mile 55. Reservations are handled through the Tiadaghton State Forest offices. These are primitive sites with maintained latrines, picnic tables, and fire pits that are booked through the Tiadaghton State Forest offices.

    • There are also camping sites and cabins for rent at or just outside of Little Pine State Park.

    Q. Can I bring my kids?

    • This is a family-friendly event, and children are welcome to attend. However, children under the age of 8 may NOT pilot their own craft (bicycle or boat). Tagalong bikes and bike trailors are great options for children under 8. This article from REI can help you plan for the paddle portion of the event.
