Pitch In For Earth Day! Volunteers Needed

April 20, 2015
We'd like to wish you a very Happy Earth Day this Wednesday and invite you to celebrate stewardship by getting involved along the Susquehanna River and Greenway!

Not a paddler, boater, or river-rat? No Problem!

Many cleanup events could use folks stationed on land or water. Good with a camera? Consider volunteering as an event photographer. Make some killer cookies? Offer to bring a batch for hungry volunteers.

As you can tell, there is a role for each of us to play and I hope you'll find an event near you, get involved, and give back!

Susquehanna Greenway Outreach Events:
We are looking for volunteers to help us spread the word about SGP at our outreach booth during the following events. Contact Bridget Kane, bkane@susquehannagreenway.org, (570) 522-7275 if interested in volunteering for a shift, or for additional information.
  • Earth Day Open House: Saturday, April 25. 10am-3pm at the Williamsport Sanitary Authority and Williamsport Municipal Water Authority in Williamsport

Cleanup Events:

If cleanups aren't quite your style, consider checking out our Calendar of Events for other ways to get involved and make your Susquehanna Greenway a corridor of clean, green, and connected river towns!
