Internship Opportunity, Summer 2013

The Susquehanna Greenway Partnership is seeking a student intern to assist in researching and implementing a Go Greenway program, assist in corporate outreach activities and promotional programs for the purpose of raising funds for community projects along the Susquehanna Greenway in Pennsylvania.

The student will help match corporate community investment with the needs of Susquehanna Greenway River Towns for technical assistance and funding for public parks, trails, and downtown greening initiatives. The internship will involve: 

  • Develop, research and implement program strategies for corporate sponsorships, which will primarily include a Go Greenway discount card program and feasibility study.
  • Research and contact prospective corporate sponsors for the Go Greenway initiative.
  • Track corporate prospects in constituent relationship management database.
  • Assisting with Susquehanna Greenway promotional events, i.e. meet-n-greet friend-raisers, outreach events. 

Skills required for the internship include: excellent communications and research abilities; sound marketing knowledge; desire to work with corporate and major donor prospects; database management; graphic design skills a plus; MicroSoft Word, Access and Excel required, social networking skills desired.  

Weekly work schedule is flexible and intern will be expected to be capable of working independently outside of the office environment.  Working remotely may be possible.
